Topside Travels

Here are some images from around Havana, Cuba.  In Old Havana you can find so many interesting things to photograph.  Cubans are always smiling and the colours throughout the city are quite vibrant.

Images from a short weekend trip to southwestern Ireland.  Flying into Shannon and out of Cork we were able to see varying landscapes in a very short amount of time. Four seasons in one day is no joke. The clutch on the Volkswagen rental had seen better days. Sun, wind, rain and even hail all welcomed us with open arms (as did the immigration officer who told us to go get into some trouble during our stay!).

One of my favourite places in Europe has to be driving down Grossglockner High Alpine Road.  Named after the highest mountain in Austria, Grossglockner is only accessible by road from May 1st through October between the hours of 6am and 9pm.  The mountain pass reaches a height of almost 2600 meters and is Austria's number one tourist attraction.  Having been there twice now during the months of July and September, I would love to make a return trip at the beginning of the season when the ice begins to melt and form stunning waterfalls.

A few images from the UNESCO town of Cesky Krumlov, Czech Republic. A short drive south of Prague and you'll find yourself in this magical, less-touristy version of the "City of 100 Towers." There are several festivals throughout the year and I recommend visiting during one of these events.  I traveled there during late September and simply by chance they were having their annual Renaissance festival.
